Text description provided by the architects. The project is located on the outskirts of the city, a transition between the dense built-up area of Střekov district and free landscape. This area contains a sparse mixture of cottages, cabins, permanent and temporary houses.
The site area has a long, steep garden, a grown orchard with apple trees, plums, cherries and a wide open view of the city in a valley, giving the place a unique and classy character.
Located in the lower part of the land is part of the orchard. While still reasonably accessible from the adjacent road, it is not in the shadow of large neighboring house.
Three mutually vertically shifted parts of the house mimic the steep terrain. Persons inside the house perceive the surrounding garden visually and physically. House is gently absorbed by the orchard with wood used as construction material, naturally linking between the house, garden and orchard given the situation.
